In the late 1200s, a young Marco Polo returned to Venice from his first trade expedition to the Far East with hand-painted Chinoiserie furniture that was sealed with dozens of coats of polished lacquer. The Oriente Bed is Porte Italia’s tribute to the explorer who was destined to make Venice famous throughout the world. Here in black with our decoration of cut flowers and butterflies, bamboo bedposts and palm finials. Customisable in size and design, you may also request different finials options and foot stools.
